Well now that you've actually said it, this whole place is going to go up like a jail riot. Which... now that you mention it, i'm also pretty surprised hasn't happened yet. Place is big, but it's not big enough. We should start checking people for shivs.

Especially now with all the touching.

You say that like it's a joke. Someone made a harmless pirate joke a few months ago and we all know how that ended.

And you know I've only actually met one person here who carries a shiv? Pretty sure she was about 12 years old.

It's not a joke. If you want me to figure out the statistical likelihood of this many people in a confined space suddenly turning on each other.... it's like a social experiment gone wrong.

And yet a 12 year old with a shiv is a concerning mental image.

No more concerning than the fact that she arrived shiv-ready because the world she left was full of zombies.

Sometimes I wonder if the TQ isn't the safer option for half the people on board.

And sometimes I've gotta wonder if we're all here because shit back home is just that weird for us. Means we're better at figuring it out than people who think a broken dishwasher is their idea of a bad day.

It does significantly cut down on the adjustment period, I'll give it that. That said, I think a broken dishwasher still ranks pretty high up there.
