What do I make of it? The ship's probably not taking as much of a break as everyone thinks it is. Though I guess that assumes this post-modernist asshole is affiliated with the ship.

Yeah, I've seen the list. I've seen about all I can stand to see about this place; got a thing for puzzles. Doesn't seem to be getting me anything but freaked out, though. All I've learned so far is that things can always get worse. Which I already knew, really, but - you know, Boston worse isn't quite the same as space worse.

Even if my name isn't on the list, it doesn't make me any less cautious about the whole thing.

Hey, sometimes self help books are just what the doctor ordered. I wouldn't say no to a little "Alchemist" right now. And don't let the brochures fool you, Boston can get pretty rough. That whole ghost thing was just a preview.

The usual kinds? You already saw the ghosts. Mostly vampires, they like to stick their noses in local politics. Did you ever say what else your world has?

I don't think I did actually.

Vampires exist. Witches, demons, wendigos, werewolves. The list is extensive.

Where I'm from we stick mostly to the classics. Ghosts, vampires, werewolves. Or at least we do as far as I know, but then again I went approximately 20 years of my life knowing absolutely nothing, so I'm not really an expert.

Case by case basis, but most of those cases are admittedly bad. And you'd think I'd know more, considering my choice of roommates. It's more of a learning vertical line than a curve, unfortunately.

You seem to be able to handle it. Knowing that iron is a way to fend off ghosts and how you saved me from being possessed.

Not everyone, no. Hunters know all about them of course but I'm not one of those. I work in the acquisition of and selling of occult objects. It pays to know about the supernatural world sometimes.

Haven't really found anything. Not on the ship anyway.

At the outpost, I found a few things but nothing occult. Anyway, I doubt that there's those kinds of objects on board. If there are, they're very well hidden.

I'm sure you'll find something eventually. I get the impression this place isn't too genre-faithful. [ Space horrors rarely are. ]

So, when you say acquisition - would that be in the Indiana Jones fashion, or more the acquisition from other people fashion?

It's a mixture of the two. Some things are hard to find and you have to dig a little. But I do acquire things from people on my client's request. I do the job I'm paid to do.
