[ yeah wow a real boy who has nothing but a hoodie on thanks buddy!!!! the shift back this time is normal - as in not horrifically painful - and it doesn't take josh long to get his composure and finish putting the shirt on. not that doing up the zipper accomplishes much when he's got....... nothing else on..........

[ it's the smart thing to do. it's not derek's preferred method, but it's what they have. waiting to see what will happen and dealing it accordingly. he doesn't particularly like that, but this isn't something he can run at head on. ]

[ this is weird. or it should be weird, probably, the fact that somewhere along the line derek became the guy he trusts on the ship. maybe there's a familiarity in relying on someone who's about as fucked up as you are; beats relying on someone who can't relate. ]
