I never said we were all capable of joining hands and getting along. Just that there are some fundamental things that make us alike. It isn't noble at all. It's interesting, scientifically. And it makes it easier to empathize. But as much as I feel sympathetic toward Mary's plight, for example, being lost on an alien planet? I'm not sorry that she's dead. She was dangerous, and murderous, and it had to be done.
